NFIRS 5.0 Module ‘Fire’

Description: Provides report data for a fire incident. Can be supplemented with a wildland fire module or a structure fire module.

This module is NOT optional it is NOT ‘department use’; meaning it’s contents are used by FEMA NFIRS reports.

Fire Transactions:

  • Fire - ‘Provides the principle information for any Fire-related incident’- Optional, at most 1
  • Fire - File attached - ‘Provides additional information for the fire’- Mandatory, 1 only
  • Fire Mobile Property Involved - ‘Mobile Property (e.g. vehicle, RV, etc.) involved in the fire’- Mandatory, 1 only
  • Fire - Equipment Involved - ‘Provides details of the equipment involved in the fire (i.e. not department apparatus used)'- Mandatory, 1 only
