Definition: Latitude and Longitude: Angular coordinates measured with respect to the center of the Earth. The value is expressed in degrees and minutes. Latitude lines run east/west parallel to the equator.Values range from 0 degrees at the equator to 90 degrees at the North and South poles.The United States and Canada are in the Northern Hemisphere. Minutes and seconds range from 0 to 59.
