NERIS Rollout Schedule

The plan for NERIS rollout is to proceed by groups of FEMA regions. These are the months for each state / territory (along with the FEMA region.) This plan was made to avoid busier times (e.g. hurricane season) for certain FEMA regions.

State-level exceptions to the FEMA rollout plan

The following state level exceptions to the FEMA rollout schedule are known. Do you know of more?

State / Territory Estimated Migration Description
Colorado (CO) January 2026 Since Colorado was migrating in November, a decision has been made to gather one last full year of data into NFIRS, and start NERIS in January 2026.
Ohio (OH) To Be Determined Ohio is continuing with OFIRMS (its system on top of NFIRS) until further notice.
Oregon (OR) To Be Determined Oregon is working on NERIS+ (its system working with NERIS) see NERIS+.
North Carolina (NC) January 2026 North Carolina want a full year of NFIRS data for 2025, and will migrate to NERIS in January 2026.

NERIS Rollout Schedule by State / Territory

Each state/territory is assigned a FEMA region, and each FEMA region is assigned a month in 2025 for the scheduled NERIS rollout.
