Core Fire Department Specification

The NERIS incident EMS module specification details the emergency medical service information.

 
 

Data Framework

The data framework provides fields and definitions for the data.

General

  • number_of_patients - The total number of patients treated
  • patient_number - The specific patient number out of those treated
  • provider_impression - The provider’s assessment of the medical emergency
  • procedures_used - If treatment was given, the types of procedures attempted
  • patient_evaulation_care - Status of patient care needs based on evaluation
  • patient _improved_status - Status of the patient after FD arrival and intervention
  • ems_disposition - The transport outcome of the incident
  • hospital_destination - If transported by the FD, the Care Faility destination
  • ems_property - If response in a structure  
     

Fire protection (Optional)

  • property_floor_of_origin - The story above or below ground of fire origin
  • detector_presence - Describes whether a detector was present in the area of the fire
  • detector_type - If a detector was present, describes the type of detector located
  • detector_power_supply - If a detector was present, describes the power supply of the detector
